In collaboration with Ayzenberg and Oculus, Blue Studios created the ‘Gaming That Moves You’ campaign for the Oculus 1 launch. We visually conveyed Oculus’s freedom from stationary consoles through cinemagraph-style OOH and digital banners—appearing static at first glance, but revealing hidden motion loops on closer view. The result: ads that look still—but don’t stay still—capturing the essence of movement and immersion that defines VR.”

In partnership with Ayzenberg and Oculus (pre-Meta acquisition), Blue Studios spearheaded the creative strategy and visual execution for the launch of Oculus 1, centered around the campaign concept:

“Gaming That Moves You.

Movement as advantage: We crafted the core message around Oculus’s mobile and spatial freedom—no stationary console required.

Subtle, perpetual motion: In cinematagraph style OOH and digital banners, each ad appears static at first glance—but hidden within are endless, subtle loops of movement (swaying environment, rolling UI elements, drifting hair, pulsing glow). The effect invites multiple look-and-sees and a discovery moment.

Magnetic dynamics: These cinemagraphs create a visual metaphor—Oculus is not still, even when it appears so.

  • Conceptual Direction – Defined the movement convergence of message and visual execution.

  • Cinemagraph Design – Identified key elements to animate in a way that delights but doesn’t distract.

  • Art & Animation – Provided style frames, motion loop comps, and final art assets.

  • Collaboration Leadership – Guided Ayzenberg’s design team and coordinated with Oculus for placement specs, tone alignment, and asset precision.
