Reality Cupcakes – Brand Identity & On-Air Graphics Package
Food Network’s Reality Cupcakes is a quirky and heartfelt reality series featuring New York baker Ashley Foxen and her family as they create astonishing edible art—cupcakes that mimic everything from sushi to hot wings. Each episode showcases their whimsical creations in clever, mind-bending scenes.
Blue Studios was engaged to develop and execute the show’s complete brand identity, including its visual tone, on-air graphics package, and promotional content.

Logo Treatment: Developed a custom hand-lettered logotype combining frosted swirl forms with a sturdy sans serif, marrying flavor and confidence.
Mood Palette & Texture: Warm tonal gradient background evoking kitchens and cakes, textured with gentle pastry flourishes.
Lower‑Thirds: Animated pastry-style graphic boxes—soft wipes, sprinkle reveals, and piping-line transitions.
Bumpers & Stings: Built 3‑5 second animated tags featuring cupcake elements like swirling icing animations and sound design (e.g., whisk sounds, sprinkles).
Episode Open: Crafted each 10‑15s open with kinetic composting of cupcake clips, texture layers, and reveal typography.
On-Air & Online Rollout
Full graphics package debuted across eight episodes (Season 1) featuring:
