In celebration of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Blue Studios teamed up with BPG and Columbia Pictures to conceptualize and execute “Rhino Run”—a fast-paced, mobile-friendly, temple-run style mini-game designed to energize audiences across social platforms.

Creative Strategy & Activation

  • Teasers & Trailers: Crafted high-energy social teasers and YouTube bumper ads using on-set cinematography, tying key quotes (“Survival is a Beast”) to visual storytelling.

  • Character Cards: Designed sharable digital cards highlighting the film’s famous cast—Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan—paired with signature lines like “Are you ready for… Beast Mode?”

  • Rhino Run Game: Developed a custom playable maze chase styled after Temple Run minis—featuring the iconic Jumanji rhino pursuit. The game’s visual language drew directly from the film’s jungle textures and VFX set pieces.




Design & Visual Approach

  • Dynamic Typography: Built kinetic motion fonts integrated with live-action texture overlays, delivering punchy lines like “Get Out Alive” and “Only One Rule.”

  • Authentic Aesthetic: Built visual consistency with the film by matching jungle greens, dust motes, and rugged artifacts from the production frames.

  • Immersive Interactivity: Through Rhino Run’s looping chase mechanics, we created a visceral sense of urgency and adventure—a direct extension of the Jumanji experience into fans’ hands.






Media Roll-Out

  • Social Takeovers: Coordinated rollout across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube with timed countdowns and daily teasers to sustain buzz.

  • Digital Ads & Bumpers: Delivered bite-size reminders leading up to theatrical release, maximizing engagement metrics.

  • Organic Extensions: Encouraged fans to share game scores and character cards—amplifying organic reach. About the Game

While multiple Jumanji-branded titles exist—such as the 2017 mobile experience from Idiocracy Games and 2019 VR adventure from MWM Immersive—Rhino Run was a fresh, bespoke mini-game crafted exclusively for the campaign: lightweight, thrill-packed, and endlessly shareable.






Our integration of cinematic assets, interactive gameplay, and social-first promotion empowered Blue to extend the Jumanji universe beyond the big screen—bringing the jungle’s excitement into fans’ daily lives. Rhino Run kept audiences actively engaged from teaser to release, delivering a memorable, cross-channel experience packed with Beast Mode energy.
