Predator Social Media Campaign — 20th Century Fox The Predator franchise, long known for its gritty, violent, action-packed legacy, needed to stay culturally relevant between theatrical releases. The challenge was to keep the Predator character alive in pop culture without leaning on traditional horror tropes or R-rated content — and instead build ongoing fan engagement through humorous, non-canonical content. Strategy
We decided to flip the script. Rather than rely on nostalgia or gore, we embraced absurdity and cultural commentary by placing the Predator in unexpected and humorous real-world scenarios. From awkward subway rides to festive family dinners, our goal was to humanize the inhuman — turning Predator from apex killer to relatable misfit.
We leveraged key cultural and seasonal moments (Groundhog Day, Thanksgiving, Holidays, Friday the 13th) and inserted Predator into those contexts — always slightly off-kilter, always deadpan funny. Each short was designed to loop seamlessly for social optimization, doubling as GIFs and memeable moments the internet could run wild with.

Holiday Animation: Predator and Santa collide — quite literally — in a chaotic holiday special ending with “Happy Holidays from Predator.”
Bad Luck Visual Series: A motion graphic countdown of increasing bad luck — crossing black cats, walking under ladders, and smashing mirrors — all starring Predator.
Cultural Commentary Animations:
“Chillin Not Killin”: Predator relaxing by the pool.
“Predator on the Subway”: Tired, slumped over, just like the rest of us.
“Thanksgiving Dinner”: A Predator family giving thanks — over a terrified, fainting human.
“Predator at the Gym”: Practicing walking a straight line on a treadmill, as if preparing for a sobriety test.
“Groundhog Day Reveal”: Predator bursts from the ground like a furry rodent, sparking a hilarious seasonal twist.
Each animation was meticulously crafted in 3D using full CG production and a real-time engine for speed. The tone leaned into surreal comedy with a cinematic polish, always centered on creating thumb-stopping moments built for shares and laughs. Results
