2015 FIFA CWC

In collaboration with Fox Deportes, we created a culturally resonant and visually striking TV promo for the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup. With the tournament taking place in Japan, we wanted the campaign to channel the spirit and visual language of traditional Japanese art. We leaned into a textured canvas backdrop as our foundation, layering in sumi-e-style brush illustrations, hand-drawn stadiums and torii gates, and stylized player portraits—all framed in a dramatic ink-wash aesthetic.

Ink drops and watercolor flourishes were used as dynamic transitions and compositional elements, providing movement and visual rhythm to the storytelling. Every beat of the promo carried the emotional weight of international competition while paying homage to the elegance of Japanese design sensibilities. The result was a powerful and unique promo that stood out from typical sports graphics packages and heightened anticipation for the tournament.
