To amplify the release of Black Veil Brides’ self-titled album, Blue partnered with Republic Records to create a cinematic, high-impact television commercial. The band’s visual identity—bold, rebellious, and apocalyptic—served as the creative backbone of a 30-spot that ran across national television and was optimized for social media placements, delivering a gritty and electrifying message.

We leaned into the band’s theatrical aesthetic and fanbase intensity to craft a visual narrative that fused:

• Desert battlefield imagery reminiscent of post-apocalyptic lore

• Stylized cinematic slow-motion sequences of the band marching like a black-clad army

• Hard-hitting track snippets and lyrics woven with dramatic editorial pacing

• Grungy metal typography and distressed VFX treatments to mirror the band’s identity

• Retail CTA & album reveal anchoring the end card, optimized for Best Buy placement

  • Shot and edited a gritty cinematic sequence blending performance footage with character moments

  • Integrated press quotes and fan anticipation to amplify urgency and buzz

  • Created multiple deliverables: TV cutdown, :15 social teaser, :30 extended trailer

  • Designed a retail-focused variant promoting the deluxe edition’s availability at Best Buy for $9.99

Our collaboration with Republic Records on Black Veil Brides’ release campaign translated the band’s intense mythology into a fully realized broadcast and social narrative. This project demonstrated Blue’s ability to elevate musical storytelling into cinematic promotions that cut through noise—and convert culture into commerce.
